 The only big cat family representative in North America! Magnificent Cougar, Mountain Lion, Puma...elusive feline of our forests and mountains.

 Did you know that cougars can purr like our domestic kitties? That is where similarities stop; Cougars are formidable predators, intelligent and stealthy hunters and rarely to be seen in the wild. I hope they will continue to thrive and add to the beauty and biodiversity of our lands.

This small pastel drawing is a study for larger oil painting which I have in planning for near future; It will be painted on round 20" canvas as the part of my ongoing portrait series on wild cats.
