  Swans are so inspiring! These gracious birds have it all; elegant lines, angelic white feathers and posture. I could observe them for hours while they seemingly effortless glide over the water. Sight of pure beauty. I am contemplating much larger painting in oils of this same composition so this ink drawing is in effect very detailed study with ink pens. Using tracing techniques in most cases merely accounts for colorizing or copying of reference photos and I do not use it in my work. Some artists are able to produce exact likeness with tracing and no doubt their technical rendition skills are top notch. Is that Art? it can be for someone; for me, freehand yields more. I never use tracing techniques, projectors or grids.
